TAMARIND
TEA ROOM

WELCOME TO THE TAMARIND TEA ROOM, a tranquil and intimate space on bustling East 22 Street in the Flatiron section of Manhattan.
Creating the Tea Room was a challenging labor of love, connecting my childhood memories of drinking tea in India to my present life as a New York restaurateur. My family always prepared for the day ahead with a bracing cup of fine tea. After school there was afternoon tea awaiting us, and in the evening, a relaxing cup as we shared the events of the day.
Every afternoon at Tamarind, you'll find me continuing the tradition, sipping my tea and getting ready for the evening. When I travel to India to see my family, I look forward to the time we spend together at the tea table, remembering the past and looking forward to another day together.
