Among the dishes served at Tamarind on East 22 Street were Turkey Vindaloo, a turkey breast cooked in a fiery malt vinegar, ginger, garlic and whole red chili pepper sauce and Bhagarey Jhinga, pan-seared jumbo prawns in a creamy tomato and garlic sauce. Dessert was pumpkin halwa.
